Phishing test

By Tim Wayne

Phishing is how fraudsters obtain your personal information and use it for all sorts of shenanigans, from fake purchases to credit card scams to your basic identity theft.  I found it surprising at how sophisticated these people have become over time.

Here's a test that will show you a few emails. Your job is to determine whether or not it is legitimate or a phishing email. There are definitely enough clues on the page on every single one of them.

If you use email, you should take this test.

Then, when you are done, send it to your parents and have a talk with them about email scams.

I got 8 out of ten. Beat my score.

I got 9 out of 10. Missed the second one, the Wells Fargo legitimate, I thought it was phishing.
